You can get recommendations for trips by public transport, as well as buy tickets, in the Ruter app. This can be downloaded directly to your phone, and will also give you directions to the nearest departure stop from where you are when searching for a route. You can also purchase a physical ticket at a number of outlets all around the city such as Narvesen, 7-Eleven, and Deli de Luca convenience stores, as well as from automated ticket machines (although these are more difficult to find). We recommend to those who can use the Ruter app to prefer it.
