ACCESSIBILITY

We have an Accommodations Coordinator at the conference. Please do not hesitate to contact EAHMH23@gmail.com with requests and problems so that we can put you in contact with that person and ensure that reasonable accommodations are fulfilled.

INFORMATION FOR PRESENTERS

  1. Please use closed captioning to facilitate understanding among d/Deaf and hearing-impaired delegates, but also among delegates who do not have English as their native language. Google Slides and Microsoft PowerPoint have built-in closed captioning features that transcribe the speaker and audience’s words on to the screen.

  2. Please use a microphone when available.

  3. Please ensure that any colors you use on your slides are friendly for people with colorblindness. There are online apps (e.g. Vischeck), that will check each slide to ensure they are accessible. Colors on the opposite side of the color wheel work best together (red/blue, yellow/purple).
